William J. O’Brien
is a financial advisor to the owners and managers of small to mid-sized
businesses. In addition to financial administration, his focus is in
the areas of business planning, financial modeling and business valuation.
During the past ten
years, Bill has worked with the management of businesses in a number of
industries, including distribution, investment banking, food service,
childcare, transportation, manufacturing and event management. He was
involved with the initial planning, funding and early development of
numerous companies, including Boston Chicken and
Mulberry Child Care Centers. Boston Chicken subsequently was taken public through an IPO, while
Mulberry is currently positioned to go public, in the near future.
In 1998, Mr. O’Brien
completed the program of the National Association of Certified Valuation
Analysts (NACVA), and obtained the designation of Certified Valuation
Analyst (CVA). Bill performs valuations of closely held
businesses and of other financial interests, for various purposes.
During nearly twenty
years in the financial services industry, though working in the corporate
offices of a publicly traded company, Bill worked predominately with
startup, closely held, and growth-oriented businesses. During this time,
Bill planned and organized Liberty Real Estate Corporation, which
subsequently became a billion dollar subsidiary of Liberty Mutual Insurance
Company.
Mr. O’Brien is a
licensed Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Valuation Analyst. He
is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants, the
Massachusetts Society of CPA’s and the National Association of Certified
Valuation Analysts. He holds a Bachelor’s degree from the
University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Allison M. Touchette works with the owners and financial managers of small to
mid-sized businesses. Her focus is in the areas of contract accounting,
budgeting, and Web site development.During the past ten years, Allison has worked predominately in the radio
broadcast and transportation industries. Her responsibilities included operating
the controller's department, coordinating the budgeting process and managing
computer operations while directing staffs of up to five
professionals.
Special areas of expertise include: computerized systems, procedures and
software; accounting policies and procedures manual; general accounting;
consolidated financial statements, financial reporting and analysis; cash
management; credit and collections; and recruiting and training.
Allison is experienced in Web site
development. She
works with clients in building effective, affordable sites that present their
businesses and their products and services in attractive and creative ways.
Allison holds a Bachelor’s degree
from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
